Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Gray Black Pro Series Truck Cover

Fitment is pretty good but strap-downs are not perfectly located to conform to the shape of the cab. This determines "how" the slope of the front windshield and back-window to bed geometry allow the cover to lay flat against the surface of the truck.
This is very important ! Snow accumulation would cause extreme damage to the cover if it were not "resting" against supporting structure.

You must position this cover to the exact "cab" location in order to "conform" to the front and rear slope geometry. There is a "lack" of "position" documentation on the cover itself. The minor instruction pamphlet is too general in nature and does not depict essential information. (i'm very experienced with covers) This is my 4th cover in 6 years, all the previous covers from different manufactures have been much poorer in nature.

I'm in California and color selection was limited...no one in their right mind would select a "BLACK" cover when thermal dynamics is considered ! Who the heck wants to "bake" their vehicle in a black-bag! Gosh... get a clue CoverLand !

The plastic "cinch-keepers" to secure the cover under the vehicle are rather poor in design. Yeah, they work but, it's a cheap/poor way to do this. Even the "cover failures" I've experienced had better "keepers" in place. CoverLand needs to look at this closely and reevaluate the components. (while you're at it... locate them on the skirt for correct alignment... geometry is important)

I have not experienced any wet weather at this location. Rain fall exceeds 57 inches yearly...I am so hoping this cover is truly "WATER PROOF". This purchase (there have been others) is a first go for CoverLand and I'm truly concerned about this aspect.

I provided "4 Stars" on my review because I do not know how this will perform in a "wet" or "lite snow" scenario.

I am a very discriminating auto-enthusiast and my previous experiences has caused me to spend over $1000 on covers to protect this vehicle. All were dismal failures and I've paid the price.

I live in a "burned out" area in northern California and lost my beautiful garage that housed this vehicle. I've had to resort to this method until I can successfully rebuild the lost structures. Painfully I've experienced this selection process and it is NOT FUN !

I'm not nit picking...I want performance and ease of correct deployment.
This vehicle is lifted 7 inches with monstrous 38 inch tires and 20x10 inch rims...it is a substantial vehicle !
Applying a cover on this monster is like putting a "hoodie" on a Beluga Whale and the subtle complaints I have expressed here are very valid.

I shall revisit this review during the up and coming winter to see if I'll provide a 5 Star rating for the unknown aspects at this time.

Side Note : I ordered my cover directly from the Factory. I spoke with customer service representatives (all females) who's English was a second language. They were polite and courteous however; they don't have a clue of what the heck is going on when it comes to dealing with hardcore Automotive enthusiasts.

They should be required during training, to actually deploy covers on 15 different vehicles, small sissy-cars to monster trucks to get a "feel" for what their potential customers are experiencing. Positive working experience with their product would be an enlightenment to their posture on the telephone. I hate spending money with any company that employees boo-boo heads on the telephone.

So....I respectfully submit my review and I mean NO malice to any particular individual.

Truly, automotive enthusiasts "who" take the time to "cover" their prized automobiles are a persnickety group and perhaps a bit hard to please. My situation is from necessity and I express all of this as a true automotive buff.

Respectfully,
